How To Maintain A Quadrant Shower Enclosure

So the new 900 quadrant shower enclosure is installed and ready to use but there is an issue in maintaining it. The good news is that this type of maintenance is not very difficult to accomplish and the enclosure can last for a long time. It only takes a few minutes after each shower to keep the enclosure looking great.

The first thing that is going to be needed is a good quality squeegee that will be used on the walls of the shower when the water is turned off. After the shower is done, simply use the squeegee to remove any water from the walls of the shower enclosure. It can also be used to remove any standing water that is left over on the tray after the walls have wiped down.

Once a week, a mild detergent can be used to remove any soap scum that has built up on the enclosure. Make sure that the cleanser used is safe for the material that the shower is made up of. Using harsh chemicals is not recommended because they can break down the actual enclosure or the sealant that is used to make it water tight.

If there is hard water in the home, then once a month the shower should be cleaned with a detergent that is made for removing hard water stains. These hard water stains can make an attractive shower lose its aesthetic appeal. Again, make sure the hard water remover is not going to damage the shower.

The maintenance of the quadrant shower enclosure is not much if done regularly. The daily and weekly cleaning is going to keep the shower looking brand new for years to come. Removing hard water stains once a month is the final step and is only necessary if the home does not have a water softening system.
